The next in my series of quick alla prima portraits.
It was fun (and a challenge) to get Alex's blond hair right, both color and shape... Still, a nice change to paint a portrait of a very fair skinned person, I usually have darker models.

Painting again - some portraits to show...

I haven't painted a lot in the last weeks and I definitely wanted to get back into the 'painting mode'.
So I did a couple of portrait paintings - or maybe rather sketches, they usually are rather quick and always done alla prima, in one go.
Once time has run out, the painting (by default) is finished - only very rarely do I change anything in a second go.

Here are the first two ladies, more portraits to come soon.
